Dive the Wrecks & Reefs Most Charters Never Visit

  • Key West, Florida

From $800

Per charter
  • 4 Hours
  • Up to 4 Divers
  • PADI Certified
  • Ages 16+

Most dive charters in Key West, Florida run the same reef and call it a day. We go further. Wrecked Charters takes PADI-certified divers to sites that most boats never bother with — including actual shipwrecks sitting on the bottom of the Gulf. The kind of dives you'll be talking about for years.

These are private, 4-hour trips for up to 4 divers. Two tanks, full bottom support, and a captain who's dived these waters enough to know which wrecks hold life and which ones are just metal. If you're certified and looking for something off the beaten path, this is it. Bring your C-card and your regulator — we'll handle the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, absolutely. All divers on this charter must hold a current open water certification from a recognized agency — PADI, NAUI, SSI, or equivalent. You'll need to bring your certification card (C-card) with you on the day of the dive. We can't take uncertified divers underwater, no exceptions. If you're looking to get certified first, we're happy to point you toward a local dive shop.

Key West, Florida has a surprisingly rich underwater landscape — natural rock ledges, artificial reefs, and actual shipwrecks. We pick the site based on conditions, time of year, and what your group wants to see. We tend to skip the high-traffic spots and go where the life is, including wrecks that see very little diver traffic. Specifics vary trip to trip, but expect something genuinely interesting.

We provide tanks, weights, and BCD. You need to bring your own regulator and dive computer — these are personal safety items and we don't maintain a rental fleet. If you need to rent a regulator or dive computer, a local dive shop can set you up the day before your trip. Don't forget your wetsuit if you're diving in the cooler months — the Gulf can get chilly from November through March.

It depends on the group. If someone in your crew isn't diving, they're welcome to come along and enjoy the boat ride and the surface while the divers are down — just reach out and let us know the situation when you book so we can plan accordingly. Non-diving passengers are fine but the focus of the trip is the dive, so they'll be hanging out topside while everyone else is in the water.
