Sea scooters — also called DPVs (diver propulsion vehicles) — are handheld underwater devices that pull you through the water so you can cover more ground while snorkeling without exhausting yourself. They're one of the most fun pieces of water gear out there, and they make spotting marine life like turtles and rays dramatically easier because you can keep up with them.
No experience required. Most guests figure them out within the first five minutes. They're just as much fun for kids as they are for adults, and they add a whole new dimension to the snorkeling experience.

Sea scooters are handheld underwater propulsion devices — you hold on, pull the trigger, and they pull you through the water. No swimming skill needed beyond being able to float comfortably. They're super intuitive and most guests are confident with them within the first few minutes. They're especially great for spotting fast-moving marine life like sea turtles, eagle rays, and reef fish without burning out your legs.
No prior snorkeling experience is needed. Captain Austin will walk everyone through using the gear before you get in the water. As long as you're comfortable swimming and floating, you'll have a great time. Life jackets are available for anyone who wants extra confidence in the water.

You'll often see spotted eagle rays, southern stingrays, tropical reef fish, starfish, and conch. On the reefs you can spot grouper, snapper, lobster, and moray eels. Every trip is different, which is part of what makes it so addictive.
